This holiday season, Schwartz Furniture is giving back to the community. We’re inviting local non-profits and community groups across Cape Breton to apply for the It Takes A VillaGE Community Appliance Grant for a chance to receive $5,000 in GE Appliances to support their mission.

About the Grant

At Schwartz Furniture, we believe that when one of us wins, we all do. This year, we’re focusing on the organizations that help keep our communities strong.

The It Takes A VillaGE Community Appliance Grant will provide one local non-profit or community group with $5,000 in GE Appliances, helping them continue their important work and make a difference in the lives of others.

Key Dates

• Applications open: November 12

• Applications close: December 3

• Recipient selected: December 5

• Filming and announcement: December 8–11

How to Apply

Eligibility:

• Must be a local non-profit or community organization based in Cape Breton.

• Must be able to accept delivery of appliances in December.

• Must agree to participate in photo and/or short video content capturing the impact story.

Apply by December 3 for a chance to be selected as our 2025 It Takes A VillaGE recipient.
